Terms & Conditions

Payment and Booking

A deposit amounting to 20% of the total tour cost is required at the time of booking. This can be made via debit/credit card or bank transfer. The remaining balance is due 30 days prior to the commencement of the tour, payable through either debit/credit card or bank transfer.

Bookings for our tours must be made exclusively through our designated email address: travel@bobbytours.com. A booking is deemed confirmed only once a 20% deposit of the total tour cost has been received. We will send all booking confirmations and related communications to the provided email address.

Bank Transfers

Payments via bank transfer are accepted. However, all associated transaction fees, including those from intermediary banks, must be borne by the sender. Should the received amount be less than the invoiced total due to these fees or any other reason, the difference must be compensated by the client prior to the commencement of the tour.

Credit Card Transaction Fees

We accept major cards, including Visa and Master Card only, but please note that a 3% transaction fee will be applied.

Payment Notification

As soon as any funds are received into our account, we will promptly notify the guest, specifying the EXACT amount that has been deposited.

Short-notice Bookings

For tours commencing within 30 days from the date of booking, the entire payment must be made upfront to secure the arrangements and facilitate a smooth experience.

Tanzania National Parks

Tanzania’s national parks operate from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. All clients are required to adhere strictly to the regulations established by the government while visiting these parks.

Travel Insurance

Clients are strongly urged to invest in a comprehensive Travel Protection Plan available from insurance providers. This one-time insurance payment can greatly contribute to a peaceful and stress-free trip. Your travel consultant can provide further information when booking your safari.

Special Arrangements

We strive to accommodate any special requests made at the time of booking. This includes, but is not limited to, arrangements for cakes, engagement surprises, wheelchair accessibility, dietary requirements, and more. To ensure proper arrangements, please notify us of any such requests during the booking process.

Accommodation Alterations

Bobby Tours reserves the right to make modifications to accommodation arrangements if conditions demand such changes.

Visa Application and Entry

Applicants can proceed to the Tanzania e-Visa website for online visa application or consult the nearest Tanzanian Embassy. Some nationalities may be eligible for visa-free entry into Tanzania; kindly verify with us for confirmation.

Check-in and Check-out Procedures

Our standard check-in time is 2:00 PM, with check-out scheduled for 10:00 AM. Requests for early check-ins or late check-outs might be accommodated but could result in extra charges.

Vaccinations, Health Precautions, and Requirements

Travelers are advised to stay updated with vaccination recommendations, especially concerning Yellow Fever. To get the most recent guidelines, we recommend contacting the nearest Tanzanian Embassy. For those flying into Tanzania via an African-based airline like Kenya Airways, presenting a Yellow Fever vaccine certificate upon arrival is compulsory. On the other hand, those traveling on non-African airlines, such as KLM, aren’t required to produce this certificate.

In addition to the Yellow Fever concerns, Africa has a prevalent risk of malaria. Before embarking on the trip, travelers should consult a medical professional to discuss suitable precautions. Protective clothing is recommended to minimize mosquito bites. For hydration and other consumption needs, it’s crucial to rely on bottled water, as tap water may not be safe to drink.

Itinerary Changes

While we make every effort to adhere to the itinerary as agreed upon with the client, unforeseen circumstances like adverse weather conditions may necessitate changes. Bobby Tours holds the discretion to make such modifications when needed.

Safari Vehicles

Safaris are conducted in specialized 4×4 vehicles owned and maintained by Bobby Tours. These vehicles are designed to carry a maximum of 7 passengers to ensure comfort.

Safari Tour Experience

Our safari tours offer an immersive experience within national parks, placing guests in properties surrounded by the natural habitat of various wildlife. As such, guests should be prepared for an authentic wildlife experience, which may include hearing natural sounds like animal calls, roars, and other nocturnal noises during the night. This is a testament to the authentic and close-to-nature experience our safari tours provide.

Tanzania National Parks Etiquette

While exploring Tanzania’s national parks, clients are expected to respect and adhere to the park’s etiquette guidelines. This includes, but is not limited to, refraining from feeding or touching the animals. Our goal is to ensure both the safety of our guests and the wellbeing of the wildlife.

Client Data Confidentiality

All personal data provided by clients, including passport details, ages, and itineraries, is treated with utmost confidentiality. This information is exclusively utilized by us and our trusted partners, such as lodges, camps, and hotels, to ensure seamless tour services. We guarantee that your data will not be disclosed publicly, and we implement stringent measures to protect your personal information.

Cancellation charges based on the entire tour price are as follows:

  • From booking date to 30 days prior: 20%
  • 29 to 15 days prior: 50%
  • 14 to 7 days prior: 75%
  • 6 days or less prior: 100%

Certain accommodations may have stricter cancellation policies; affected clients will be contacted directly for further coordination.

Adjustment for Government Taxes

In the event that government taxes change or unforeseen circumstances arise, we retain the right to adjust our rates accordingly.

Reservation Cancellation Policy

Should the deposit not be received within 30 days of making a reservation, or if the full payment isn’t settled 30 days before the arrival date, Bobby Tours retains the discretion to cancel the booking.

Liability and Risk

Liabilities are determined by the prevailing laws of the country. Bobby Tours is not accountable for incidents resulting in death, medical expenses, injuries, delays, or the loss/damage of personal property. Comprehensive insurance is recommended. Given the adventurous nature of our services, inherent risks are present. Bobby Tours does not accept liability for:

  • Property damage or loss, regardless of the cause.
  • Health issues, injuries, or death of clients, irrespective of the reason.
  • Changes in the itinerary due to road and weather conditions.
  • Delays resulting directly or indirectly from missed transportation connections.
  • Complications arising from wars or other unforeseen calamities during the safari.

All the above and other unexpected situations can arise before/during any type of vacation. Such an event might cause your trip to be shortened or canceled. Unfortunately, due to the costs incurred by Bobby Tours, any cancellation after booking incurs financial penalties, up to and including the loss of the entire service cost.
