It has well-maintained toilets and regularly attended hot water showers (heated by wood fires) and firewood can only be brought from town or Karatu, mostly you should expect to go for sometimes without a shower. Cold showers can be taken. Seronera River Valley, an area known for sheltering the elusive leopard, a lion pride, and cheetah, the migration stop here three times a year since there is enough water and food. The area is also more heavily visited so you should also see more tourists around this area. Wild animals frequently visit the campsite which is not fenced, you should move with caution. Our Guide chooses the best campsite out of many in this area to avoid the most crowded one.

Simba campsite consists of several other campsites, which are categorized according to the use of the camp. Simba Campsite “A” which is a public campsite is on the crater rim and it is situated on the south-western rim of the Ngorongoro Crater Rim about 2 km from the crater village. It has well-maintained toilets and regularly attended hot water showers (heated by wood fires) and firewood for sale. Viewpoints of the crater are only a short walk away and are absolutely stunning. Wild animals from the crater and Serengeti as far as from another part of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area frequently visit the campsite which is not fenced, you should move with caution.
